Got It!

July 11th, 2008

As I posted below about the tables I’m planning to buy, I finally took a pic of the couch! So far I got some votes from other people who read my entry and I think I have to go with the 3rd one. My mom thought that having that space below the table is a lot better than the rest and I agree! I can add some basket there where I can put photos or whatever. It’s really getting into me that buying furniture is a lot of work! Confusing to choose the right one and most of all painful in your wallet!hehehe! Anyways, here’s what my couches look like!

Goji Berries

July 11th, 2008

pro_vitamin_complete.jpgEver heard of such a fruit? It is one of the best fruits out there that can provide you better nutrients, high in vitamins and antioxidants! As a matter of fact. Goji Berries found to be one of the highest ranked food on the ORAC Test! Orac Test is one of the test that determines the food antioxidant ability! It is a certain test by the US Department of Agriculture where they measure the amount of free radicals that the food can get rid of in your body and how fast it can do that. Why do we need to get rid of free radicals? Just in case you are wonderin’…it causes us not to age gracefully, LoL! Free radicals like pollution, or what you get from drinking and smoking can obviously makes us look a lot older and aside from affecting our health, we also don’t age well when we have a lot of that in our body (talking about skin appearance here). That is why we need veggies and fruits like Goji Berries that has a lot of antioxidant to get rid of all that free radicals! Last Comic Standing

July 11th, 2008

lcs.jpgIt’s been a while since I’ve watched a good show during night time in television. After American Idol, there’s nothing really good out there. Something that’s entertaining and not brain wrecking. Yeah when night comes, I’d like to just watch mindless shows that can make me laugh, during day time it’s mostly intense and mind bugling series or documentary shows that makes my brain think, you know what I mean?hehehe!BUT last night I happened to flip and found Last Comic Standing. I haven’t watched this show for a very long time and boy! Have I missed a lot! It’s good that they had a recap last night so, I’m able to get to know the finalist and I even have my favorites picked out! If you want to laugh a little or more…better check out this show!

The Real Estate Market

July 10th, 2008

I think most of you know how’s the real estate market doing right now…It’s not really a good time to sell since everyday, all the house prices are dropping! With our situation right now, we are really stuck! Couldn’t sell it yet since our farm house isn’t ready. Yeah - literally not ready! The kitchen is all torn apart, bathroom is totally messed up and don’t get me going coz that just reminds me how horrible it is there right now. That only means we have to settle a lower price for this house (which I hope not!). Maybe there’ll be a miracle or something drastic change would occur and the real estate will go up as soon as this house is in the market! On the other hand, it’s the right time to buy but you’re not really winning on anything. If you are buying a house, that only means you need to sell your old house too! Oh well, gotta do both like what we should do! I really don’t have a tip how to sell your house in a better price but the only thing I can share to you is a good ‘ol website that can help you search for a real estate in Virginia where you can take advantage of its tools and information that they bring into their website at drodio.com! They got the great advice and tips too - expert advice. So, go right ahead and see for yourself! I might as well do the same thing!

Question of the Week

July 10th, 2008

1. List your 2 fave site or blog/s and link us up! Tell us why! A Pot of Honey and Me and Mine - they are both really good quality blogs that shows their great talent in photography and digiscrapping!

2. List two bad habits that you have. Now tell me which one you would be willing to give up first. Talking too long on the fon and munching all the time {junk food} - I’d be willing to give up the 1st one!

3. What spice or seasoning is your favorite? Which one can you add to anything and make it taste better? Salt. Somehow it makes everything tasty!

4. What is your birthstone? Do you like it? Or you want to change it? Emerald - I don’t really like it. Wish I could change it to something else.

5. Do you know what’s your name means? What? I don’t know

6. What color polish do you most often wear? Or do you wear one? I like neutral colors and dark ones for toes.

7. Think about this for a second - When you fasten your pants do you button first of zip first?zip

8. Which do you prefer, someone snoring right next to you on a plane or a baby crying right next to you on a plane too? snoring

9. Which would you prefer, made to eat bugs or drink sour milk? Why? I think bugs. depending on the bug. Sour milk could ruin my tummy!

10. Which is worse, your roommate eating all the food or wearing your clothes? both if there’s no permission

I Love It!

July 10th, 2008

I just bought a clock last week that I saw at Great Indoors. Hubby thought it’s freakin’ BIG but he liked it as well! It’s not as nice like one of those grandfather clocks that I’m hoping someday we can have in our house. Yes, I do like clocks! I hate not knowing what time it is. That’s why I got one in front of our television, in bed, in the living room, kitchen and almost anywhere…well, except for bathrooms, hehehe! Maybe I should put one too! That’s how I like clocks, really!hahahah! BUT it’s really my dream to purchase one BIG and fancy grandfather clock! It is a great conversational piece and focal point, at the same time, it’s useful! I found amazing and beautiful clocks at 1-800-4clocks.com and they sure have a lot of selection! If you can’t find one that you like, there must be something wrong with you…hehehe! Honestly, they have every styles, shapes and color so, you definitely have a variety of choices and could find the right one that fits your style or your home! You might find one you like but wondering how it could get to your place if you are far away from their location. Well, there’s always a way to ship it! Read an article about shipping factory fresh grandfather clock!

Rellenong Bangus!

July 10th, 2008

rellenong_bangus.JPGBangus or Milkfish is my favorite kind of fish! Growing up near the ocean, we don’t miss a fish in our table everyday and quite honestly, it makes me sick and tired of fish! BUT once I moved in with hubby here, I couldn’t believe how much I miss it! A LOT! Yeah - you could purchase one at the store but aside from being expensive, it’s not fresh - at all! Well, I settle for the frozen ones at Filipino or Asian store and that marinated one just hit my taste buds! Even the whole milkfish deep fried, the tummy part, oh so yummy! Last weekend my friend served a rellenong bangus but it was one of those frozen ones, I still like it! So, I bought one too and having it for lunch today!

Stylish New Frames

July 9th, 2008

I used to get a lot of headache from cross stitching and being on the pc all day. That’s back then when I was just awaiting for my visa. Hubby thought it has something to do with my eyes so we consulted an eye doctor and he recommended an eyeglass that I can wear every time I cross stitch and it did really help my headache go away! Only thing is, I don’t cross stitch anymore and that eyeglass is just sitting somewhere collecting dust!

Well, for some of you might not be able to live without your eyeglasses and maybe you just use it once in a while for just reading or driving and it might not look too pretty on you but you can always spice it up and have some style with some cool new frames from zennioptical.com! Select from all different styles, shapes and colors! Above all, you can save a lot since they sell their own manufactured frames directly to buyers! Check out what they have now!

Couldn’t Decide!

July 9th, 2008

After I bought the couch, I’ve been looking for a coffee and side tables that will match the love seat and sofa set. It just never ends, does it? Once you get started, you just wanna keep on going and boy! If only I have an unending flow of cash,LoL! I just wanted to have an inviting living room that can lift up the spirit of that old farm house. So, couch and tables are a good way to start, don’t you think? Now, I think I found the right store which is at Ashley Furniture. My friend brought me there and I just like everything they have but couldn’t decide which one of these to buy…

tables.jpg

I know that’s a lot of choices and add to that is this last piece I spotted just a minute ago!

Now, I don’t think I’ll ever make up my mind! Perhaps I’ll end up with none BUT which one do you think is the best?! {Gotta get a pic of that couch, I guess to make sure which fits best!}
