Our King’s Island Adventure!

Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008

Certainly, it was a blast spending whole day with my family at the amusement and water park! We didn’t really plan anything for our anniversary since we already spent our family vacation at Florida visiting friends and Disney World. That was really awesome but since hubby got his day off on the day we turned 7yrs being married, why not go somewhere and do something fun?! Well, it was mostly for our kids coz we spent half the day at all Nickelodeon rides and at their ages, it was just perfect for them. Unfortunately, hubby and I couldn’t go to any adult rides {who can watch the kids?} BUT at the Boomerang Bay, we all can enjoy the place!

Kids Outdoor

Monday, July 21st, 2008

I just like to share a couple pics of my kids during our outing with friends last week. It was a hot summer day and friends invited us for fishing so, I thought it would be nice time for the kids to play at the park even if we won’t end up fishing. Indeed they had a great time and I did too! Kids love the outdoor and no matter where it is as long as they can explore, they definitely would get dirty which is part of it!

Hubby’s into gardening and yard work but not me! My kids? Well, they are kinda like their dad’s little helper…I just give them moral support thru my presence (actually I’m yacking on the fon while they’re weeding)hehehe! Our front yard is such a mess! Looks like no1 is living here with all tall weeds around and bushes badly needing some trim, tsk…tsk…tsk…hubby can’t do everything, even I can’t! Hey, I got my blogging business goin’, chores, kids and oh yeah, friends outing…gotta have some fun baby! Well, I could get my hands dirty if there’s a treat!hihihihi…

Wish I Have That Talent!

Wednesday, June 18th, 2008

Aside from blogging, photography is also one of my favorite hobbies. When I started to have an interest on it, I bought my rebel xti and some software to produce better pictures. I wanted to get some good lenses too but I stopped and thought that before I’d jump right in…I needed to learn more. Maybe someday if I feel like I am ready for big and better lenses, I’d pour in some money towards that! After seeing Nashville wedding photographer, I felt like I should be going to school for photography and really get those expensive lenses but I know it comes with talent too for you to get awesome pics! I am just so impressed with all the photos and hoping someday I can create even just as close as what I saw in their website!

When you visit davidblairphotography.com, you know that they got it! The photographer himself knows what he is doing and you can’t help but to admire, fall in love and get inspired with his photos! From wedding pictures, engagement, portraits, sports to pregnancy…they can do all that! He can even compile a beautiful album! Check out his portfolio, visit the website today and you’ll surely know what I’m sharing here.

Weekend Snapshot

Monday, June 16th, 2008

Our weekend was confronted by some problems I’m dealing with but now, it’s all better. Not resolved but at least better…hubby and I are still trying to find a solution but on a lighter note, we had a great time yesterday for Father’s Day! Spent a bit of time at the mall, dinner with the whole family at Mexican Restaurant and when we got back home, we picked some june berries from our tree in the front yard! They’re good to make as a pie, mix it to your oatmeal or cereal and even in pancakes or just to eat it right away, hehehe!

*Win $50 on my Bday Giveaway. For details, Click Here!

img_4687-copy.jpgMy bes gave me an early present today! That’s a coach teardrop key ring {click photo to enlarge} and actually, I picked this out when we were together at the mall coz that’s how she wanted it to be and I have no problem with that. In fact, it’s a pretty common thing to do nowadays. It’s my first bday present this year and I am really too old to celebrate my bday and doesn’t want anyone to spend anything for me but any blessing is welcome of course!hehehe! As soon as I got home, I immediately transferred all my keys in that ring and I’m lovin’ it! Thanks momi Loreng!

“Take A Picture Here Mommy!”

Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008

That’s what my daughters always tell me whenever they like a good spot! They are so used to me taking photos that they would volunteer to smile and pose for the camera but sometimes when not in the mood, they speak their mind! Yesterday, after we dropped of my van for alignment, I asked hubby to drop us off to the mall nearby where he is working coz it was a nice day and I’d like to enjoy it and this is the kind of mall where it’s outdoors and I know my girls would enjoy the fountain there and I wasn’t wrong…that’s when they asked me to take their picture!

Meeting Our Friend

Monday, April 21st, 2008

I didn’t know hubby’s friend, Gary will be coming up to the farm last Saturday until we got there and hubby said so. I was excited to see him once again! I remember our first meeting, he was so nice and I have a chance to see his house full of horns and stuffed animals! He’s an avid hunter! He hunts mostly deers and turkeys! Hubby wanted him to be the only person who can hunt in our farm coz there were more than 15 strangers who’s been hunting there for years but he just wants to keep our farm private which is a good idea! Gary is someone he knows for more than 20yrs. now and they’ve been really good friends and so, it would be nice to have him around our place all the time!

Weekend Snapshot

Monday, April 21st, 2008

We spent an all-day Saturday at our farm just walking around and planting some trees…I took these pics to show my father some barns out there…

They sure looks like a lot of work to me! There’s even one that looks like in bad shape but hubby thinks he can restore them all! I think he’s crazy but I’ll leave it to him since he’s doing all the work! He’s optimistic that he can turn all the barns into very nice one just like restoring the old house…

She Found Some Friends!

Saturday, April 19th, 2008

Every time I bring my kids to the playground…my eldest, JC, could always find new friends! I’ve been noticing that she’s around with so many girls whenever she’s playing there. At one time I saw her talking to one kid, I knew then she’s very approachable! It was kinda cool that she can make new friends right away! I knew she won’t have a hard time getting along with her classmates as soon as she starts going to school and that will be this coming Sept! I’m so excited for her!!! Anyways, took a pic when my family and I were at the mall last Thursday {hubby tried to get a new cellphone service and so, we tagged along}…

Playing with Photoshop

Thursday, April 17th, 2008

I should be folding laundry right now or washing the dishes perhaps changing bedsheets BUT here I am playing with some of my photos! It’s been so long since I last used my photo actions! Why so? It’s time consuming and I know myself once I start doing it, I couldn’t stop and realized later on that I spent hours and hours twitting the photos,LoL! Anyways, just want to share these…

I don’t like how hubby take photos, he always get the subject small and the background too much! Maybe I’m not his subject? He might be more interested with the bg {bad bad davie!} Anyways, I just cropped, popped the colors with gaussian blur and layered it with dark…

This one’s too different! Not exactly sure if I like it {using professional retro with 65% opacity}
