Dollar Movie!

Monday, July 14th, 2008

made-of-honor-poster.jpgMake that a dollar and fifty cents to be exact! That’s what it cost to watch outdated movies like that “Made of Honor” at Cinemark. I think it’s a GREAT deal! If you missed those great movies, there’s always a second chance in a BIG theater and that is at one of those dollar theaters! My friend, Mary Ann, and I went to watch this chick flick film last night and we surely enjoyed it! I asked hubby to pick up the kids while I was at her place trying to help her burn some CDs and hubby was busy picking up the mattresses we just bought last Saturday. After that, he was able to take the kids away and I had a time off for several hours so, we hit the mall first, dinner, coffee and dessert then a movie to end the night! What can I say about the movie? Just hit the right note to entertain me,LoL! Wasn’t really like awesome one, kinda predictable of what’s going to happen but overall, it was really entertaining and charming!

Last Comic Standing

Friday, July 11th, 2008

lcs.jpgIt’s been a while since I’ve watched a good show during night time in television. After American Idol, there’s nothing really good out there. Something that’s entertaining and not brain wrecking. Yeah when night comes, I’d like to just watch mindless shows that can make me laugh, during day time it’s mostly intense and mind bugling series or documentary shows that makes my brain think, you know what I mean?hehehe!BUT last night I happened to flip and found Last Comic Standing. I haven’t watched this show for a very long time and boy! Have I missed a lot! It’s good that they had a recap last night so, I’m able to get to know the finalist and I even have my favorites picked out! If you want to laugh a little or more…better check out this show!

Planning to Watch

Tuesday, June 10th, 2008

panda.jpgI asked hubby if we could watch Panda movie with the kids last weekend but he was really tired from working all day at the farm so, I just let him rest when we got home. He just asked me to find some other time this week so, he can enjoy the movie better and I can understand that! Didn’t want him to be sleeping in the theater while me and the kids are enjoying the movie for sure!hehehe! I heard it’s really funny so, I can’t wait to spend a movie night with my family! Where I planned to watch it is at Movie Tavern where me and my friends had really an awesome time! I just like the idea where you can order food and drinks inside the theater and make it like a dinner and movie in one! Really cooL!

Had Some Movie Time!!!

Sunday, June 8th, 2008

Watching a movie is one of my hobbies and I always enjoy it whether in a BIG screen or small, with family or friends and even alone! So, I am just glad that lately, I was able to watch these 2 recent films…

indianajones.jpgWith my partner in life wanting to see this one, he got his luck when my friend, Guads offered to babysit my kids for us to watch a movie! It was so sweet of her! Hubby was torn between Ironman and Indiana Jones but we came there for Indiana in the first place so, Indiana it was! For me, it was just okay…an action/adventure film is quite alright and I guess it just seems like another treasure hunting movie I’ve seen before. At least hubby really enjoyed it! He just wanted something mindless and entertaining after watching very intense and mind buggling movies before {which I prefer}, LoL!

sex-and-the-city-movie-poster.jpgThis one’s with my girlfriends, Shiela and Lorena. Since Shiela is moving back to Canada for a month, we had a girl’s night out the day before she has to leave. She get to choose what to watch and since Sex and the City was her fave tv series, imagine she watched all the episodes???!!! So, this was just a perfect movie for the night! We really had fun and it was really enjoyable to watch! Drama/Comedy/Love Story/Nudity rolled in one! Hey! How could you miss that?!hehehehe!

Can’t wait for the next movie night plan!

The Top 5

*Win $50 for my Bday Giveaway! For details, Click Here!

top_5.jpgThese are the final 5 for American Idol and earlier some of you might have seen their 2-songs performance. They were really cutting down everything and it was pretty straight forward which I really like!hehehe! None of those long chitchats and video interviews at all. I wasn’t really lovin’ their performance well, except for David Cook’s 2nd song, it was another hit! Among all of them, I still believe the 2 Davids are the best among the rest! Although…Syesha have that amazing vocals and if Simon is wrong, maybe she’ll end up on the last 3 standing. No one really knows who will leave tom. night so, I can’t wait to find out!

Unexpected!

Thursday, April 17th, 2008

kristy_lee_cook.jpgLast night it was Kristy Lee Cook who was voted off from AI and honestly, I wasn’t expecting that. Although, I’ve mentioned before she’s someone I think who will leave soon but then during her previous performance, I thought she did good {compared to the first few ones}. Although, it was expected by Simon, I was kinda hoping she’ll stay at least one more show oh well, someone has to go at least it’s not the best one out there like Syesha and the 2 Davids {right now - they’re my fave!} I really felt bad for John Michaels leaving the show sooo soon! Well, I guess it’s really unpredictable who’s going to leave every elimination round that’s why I like watching it!

Funny…Funny…Very Funny!

Friday, April 4th, 2008

I got an email from my bestfriend, Jessel and usually, I open it up when I have some free time. Tonight, she sent me a funny video from comedy central and so I decided to check out Youtube if they have it there too, sure enough, it was there! In fact, more clips about that same show! BUT I found another funny clip that really cracks me up at the very end! Good thing I saw this coz now I will be very careful when I want to try some beds at the store. I have to use my hand first and make sure it’s not like this…

Ramiele is Out

Thursday, April 3rd, 2008

ramiele-malubaya1.jpgNot surprisingly, Ramiele {a fellow Filipina} who has walk her way up to the top 8, now no longer a contender for American Idol as she emotionally accepts the fact that she’s out last night. Although, I have missed the show since I was shopping all night with friends, we were informed by my friend’s hubby so, I knew it before I went home. I had the feeling it would be her or Kristy Lee since both are way out of the league among the other contestants. I know they’re both good but compared to the others, I think it’s about time to let them go. I am just crossing my fingers that America voters will have their patience and perseverance to keep the biggest talent like the 2 Davids and Michaels into the last 3 standing {that’s IF they can perform well and have a good choice of songs}…

My Fave {for now}

Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008

I cannot always remember to watch AI but whenever I can, I am really excited to hear David Archuleta’s voice! He is beyond anyone! The best among the contenders, that’s my own opinion. Although sometimes I don’t like his choice of song but last night was a good one! I wish he can sail through the top3 or better yet get the title! I also like to see the Aussie guy - Michael Johns who kinda look like Heath Ledger, I mean same profile that’s why I like him!LoL! BUT it is about talent and he got that! So, looking forward in seeing him on the top 3, I hope!

Explorer

Thursday, March 27th, 2008

Last night I was watching National Geographic and was glued on television when I saw their Explorer episode about male testosterone. Although I’m not a man, obviously, I was still interested about the myths and facts of testosterone. What was captivating really was to find out most men who are married their testosterone drops while those who are divorced, it comes right up again even a yr before they get divorced. Same thing when a guy have a child, it lowers their testosterone as well!

“There is a force driving men - it effects their strength, desire for status, and sex, it plays a role in whether or not they are good parents, and even how long they will live — It is Testosterone. Testosterone - the hormone associated with masculinity.” -nationalgeographic.com

The Night She Disappeared

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008

bri.jpgLast night as I went to bed early, I usually open up the tv and look for something to watch until I fall asleep. When I found out Dateline was on, I couldn’t get my eyes off their show. First, it was about a deadly mission of a Navy officer to kill his wife’s ex-husband - chilling! BUT I was more interested to watch about a pretty college girl who vanished from a small town, Reno. This is just one of my biggest worry with my kids once they go off to college. Although it’s like many years from now, I can’t help but worry! If only I could keep them all my life but there is a need to let go and when that time comes, all we can do as a parent is to pray for their safety and guide them.  I just feel so sad for this girl who has so many great potentials and for her mother who is grieving for her loss. No parents should ever encounter horrible things like this.

I Shouldn’t Be Alive

Friday, March 21st, 2008

This is one cool show that I watched on Discovery Channel. I am really into true stories that are horrifying and so damn scary! I know it’s not good to watch but I couldn’t resist. Earlier, the episode was entitled “Blood in the Water” and I was glued on the tv! A group of people were at the Zambezi River in Africa and when a hippo turned their boat upside down, that’s when the thrill begins! The water is infested with BIG crocs and they were in the middle of the river…I’ve seen so many episodes and each one is just as scary as the other.
