Just Started My Own Bank Account

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

I started to apply for my own bank account ever since I was making money from blogging. I figured out, it would be nice to have a little savings and also have my own debit card. Although, I’m not entitled to getting my own credit card yet since I don’t have any credit history and got no employer…but I think this is a good start for me! I like having my own debit card and not have to rely everything to hubby. Although, it’s tough to make sure everything is balanced and to avoid screwing up, thank goodness to my bank where I can access it online - anytime and anywhere! That’s what I really like about it! If you want to start your own private banking accounts, even for business too…Northern Trust might be the one for you! From mortgages, loans to basic checking and cash management and they also have a private passport for clients to access their accounts 24/7!

Smallest Mom

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

Last night, I was wide awake at 12midnight and was flipping through the channels. I came across TLC’s smallest mom! I can’t believe how teeny tiny she is and seeing the pictures when she was pregnant, it’s totally amazing! I was watching through the whole thing when she was struggling to take the driving test coz she wanted so badly to drive and seeing her hubby takes care of their little baby which assumed to have the same disorder like her mom. I just find it very interesting that’s why I’m blogging about this, hehehe! Here’s a news about her giving birth…

Tough Year!

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

Watching the news lately, makes me realize that hubby might be right about the recession thing going on. I maybe too naive about what’s going on in the world right now but to be honest, I just don’t want to get too worried about it. I know, I know…we have to be cautious and have a plan. With this tough year we are having, what really is your plan? Quite frankly, I would want to start working full time if possible and I will work on this as soon as my eldest is in school. I just want to earn a better income than blogging although I won’t be able to top my husband’s income, at least I could start my own savings and help a bit in our household finances. Maybe for you, your options involves getting a cheap loan from secured loans or get a credit card with low interest rates. Before you do so, compare credit cards online - fast and easy! Just click here and you’ll have your options wide open.

Now Is The Time

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

One of the main reasons why hubby is so interested to move in a farm is because of wanting to be self sufficient as much as possible. He’s always been scared about the economy and right now, I’ve never seen him all panicky especially hearing the word “recession”. Yes - the most irritating word so far since I hear it all the time when I ask him for something, when I want to talk about future purchases or anything that might involve money! I know there’s nothing wrong about fearing the future as a matter of fact, it’s a good way of motivating yourself to save a lot of money and be ready for any rainy days! With the current Subprime Crisis, it might a good time to invest. Anything that will appreciate in time like a valued property, or any items that will increase its value over time and even something like a hot moving condo property! Just take a look at some Las Vegas condos which sales are up 14% from a year ago. This might be a good thing to consider when investing.

Well, what do I really know? Not much! Just the thought of saving for the future and not living pay check to pay check might be a better way to be prepared for any unexpected situations.

Laboratory Equipments

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

Being married to a (used to be) a chemist but now (as what he call himself) a manager of an analytical service company, means I have to live with all the laboratory equipments around our house! It could probably take out the whole space in our house if I’d allow him to. Imagine our garage all full of stuff that I don’t even know what it is for and even our fully furnished basement which could have been perfect for an entertainment room! BUT no…it’s all for his laboratory stuff but there’s nothing I can do, those are the stuff that are feeding this family, hehehe! I certainly don’t know almost all of his stuff and especially its value. Sometimes we sell them online, other times, he uses it for service in other laboratories or pharmaceutical companies. I’m not even sure what are those things there might be some hplc systems or incubators or a peltier cooler. I’m not so interested on those things and I don’t even bother asking what it’s for, hehehe!

Technology Just Keeps Getting Better and Better!

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

We are all enjoying what technology can bring us and each day, someone always comes up with a better and a genius idea! One of the many things I enjoy dearly everyday is my computer! It has been my ultimate toy and been part of my daily routine to face in front of the pc,hehehe! I think I spent a couple of cash here and there to improve my computer experience like having a keyboard wrist rest and for the mouse too. I also purchased a wireless keyboard and mouse for Christmas and a better speakers. Just yesterday, I bought a brand new microphones since my headphone is not working too well but the best part is my monitor…hubby bought me this wide flat screen monitor for our anniversary! Just today, I just found out this cool humanscale desk mount LCD computer monitor arm !

I’ve never seen anything like that before! You can rotate it into a 360 degrees for portrait or landscaping, so adjustable and so sleek looking! Don’t yah think? I like it a lot…so, I guess I’d be asking this for our next anniversary? Maybe!hehehe!

Goofing Around!

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

When I heard about singshot before, I was intrigued but not gutsy enough to post a song. I like singing a lot and to be honest, I know I can sing but I don’t have a great voice, really! I know quite a few who got the talent like Janice and I’m too embarrassed to try it out seriously! BUT now that I have the guts and in the mood for foolishness, their website keeps giving me an error! I actually recorded 2 songs, one with my webcam on - oh yeah! I’m that silly! It kinda sucks in the middle of the song when sometimes it pauses, I think it has to do with the inet connection…oh well…I would’ve shared it with you guys here if the link wasn’t broken…hehehehe!maybe next time!

Greatest Quarterback in History!

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

If you are a football fan, you must know about John Elway for sure! He is one great quarterback for Denver Broncos football from 1983-99! He hit the record for leading Broncos to 5 Super Bowl appearances as a quarterback and I may not be a football fan but that to me sounds great!hehehe! I have some friends who watches that certain sport and would even invite everybody for a game night! It’s kinda fun to gather around with friends and watch the football game. Maybe if I give a little time to understand how it’s played, I might get into that sports and start cheering too!LoL! Anyways, you might think how do I know him if I don’t watch football. Well, I did a little research at 20yardline.com and that’s where you can learn all about him and any other players!

Spams Are Driving Me Nutz!

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

How irritating is it to open your email with a notification of a comment only by knowing it’s a spam message?! I try my best to keep up with it especially in my bravejournal where the spams are feasting over my tagboard and some old entries! I just couldn’t keep up no longer so I decided to turn on the spam blocker and I know how hassle it would be for a commentator to type down the letter verification but I just have to do that inorder to get rid of all these spammers! I’m glad Yen has helped me out in this blog to decrease spammers and so far it has been doing great for me! Geez, why is there a lot of them out there?
