I guess this is so late (I just couldn’t squeeze into my time to update often here) but I still like to talk about the new champion for the show Dancing With The Stars. I know you are all updated by now that Helio is the winner against Mel B. Quite frankly, I like them both but as a dancer, I would rather choose Mel B. Helio is a very charming guy and I’m sure he captured his voters with his killer smile and charisma! I like his personality a lot! While Mel B. she is a really fun person and always cocky but when she hits the dance floor, she is damned so serious and really knows what she’s doing! Well, the voting is over and I guess any of the two deserves to be a winner coz they did so well from the beginning til the finale! All their effort has paid off! And now…what’s next? Gotta wait for the next season of who will be the celebrities willing to join this competition! My monday and tuesday nights are now officially open,LoL!

Last Saturday, I spent half of my day fooling around with my blogspot trying to change it to my own domain then by afternoon, I went out with my kids to the grocery store and the shopping went on til night with hubby at the mall! By Sunday, we headed out for Church and dropped by to see Santa Claus for a free photo with the kids! So, here’s some pictures with Santa! Visit Wordless Wednesday 

This cha-cha-cha was the best one so far in the entire show of Dancing With The Stars! Performed by Jennie Garth and partner Derek Hough, she was one hot momma in the dance floor! Although…sad to know, it didn’t help her stay in the game…she was eliminated last night and it’s such a shame to see her go. She was one of the best dancers in that competition and I, for one, had my fingers crossed that she’ll stay up to the finale but then again, the vote is the most crucial part of this contest no matter what the judges say…She amazed and dazzled us in the dance floor! And although very emotional, that gave her the advantage to put herself in the game! Bruno has called her “yummy mommy” and I totally agree! Dancing is not new to her, since age 13, she has been taking dancing lessons and has even thought she’ll have a dancing studio. No wonder why she can move those hips! LoL!

This is how I remember her in Beverly Hills 90210. She was one of the many faces in television that I would never forget! How can I? C’mon! Almost everybody know what that show is! I think the next time I saw her once again in a tv series was the show “What I Like About You” and I was really amazed how she managed to keep her figure especially that she has 2 kids! Whew! Wish I could look like that and groove like her!LoL! And not to forget, her handsome man Peter Facinelli who was there at the show last night with their eldest daughter. They are such a good looking couple and a beautiful family!

Moving on to the show…now I have my bet on Mel B to be the winner! Ever since she rocked the dance floor with her triple 10 score, I knew she’d make it til the end…mmm…might be a close call with the race car driver, Helio but I guess that makes the show more thrilling! Won’t get my eyes off for the finale!

Join Weekend Snapshot Here!

It was a bit chilly over the weekend but that didn’t stop us from attending a bday party Saturday night! By Sunday, hubby noticed the bright colors of our maple tree at the front yard and wanted a pic with the tree!

Then, we headed out to our favorite park! I was hesitant to take a walk since it was so chilly but he encouraged me it’s good enough day to visit the park and pretty soon, there’ll be snow in the ground so, I better enjoy it! My eldest didn’t complain at all! She was having a great time taking the hike and was always competing with her dad to walk faster!

We ended up at an overlook of the river! It was worth the walk. I’m pretty amazed that there were tons of ppl taking the walk no matter how chilly the weather is!

Dancing With The Stars has captured many audience, kids and adults alike. It is one of the entertainment shows on television that the whole family could enjoy! I wasn’t really hooked into this show until this 5th Season! Actually, I had my afternoon soap “What I Like About You” that I’d love to watch and came to like Jennie Garth a lot! (I used to hate her in Beverly Hills 90210,anyone who can relate?LoL!). When I saw her as one of the competitors at Dancing With The Stars, I was like…”Ok, I’d take a peek”! From then on, I can’t wait to see the next episode! I enjoyed ballroom dance like I never did before! Learned to like some of the dancers and was just mesmerized by their dance moves that they have to learn each week! Each elimination round makes my heart beat fast…it kills me to see Sabrina (from Cheetah Girls) eliminated and that really goes for a show that no one is safe even if you seem to be the best dancer than anyone! It has to do with fans above all! So, for tonight…I’m crossing my fingers that Jennie Garth, Melanie and Helio will remain (as for my hubby, he wants Marie Osmond to win, that shows how old he really is! LoL!)…For those who doesn’t watch the show, here are the celebrities for this season!

If you think that’s a squash…eeenk! WRONG! What that is…is a pumpkin! Leftover from our pumpkin patch, we decided to cut ‘em up yesterday and blanch it for stir-fry and for pumpkin pie that I could make this coming Thanksgiving Day! It’s a lot of work but hey! It’s fun doing this with the whole family!

I know, I know the movie is old. Released in 1994, this compelling crime/drama movie has been known to be one of the best films ever! I haven’t seen it until last night! Funny huh?! I just got to watch it after someone mentioned it to me how great that movie was! How did I ever let a good movie like that passed me by? Usually, hubby falls asleep whenever we watch a movie at home no matter how good it is! He just couldn’t resist to close his eyes when he’s comfy cozy in a couch but this time, he watched the whole movie! It’s not action-packed thrilling movie but the whole narrative and dramatic scenes leave you hanging on your seats and waiting for the next thing to happen…Why do I point out this movie right now? Well you see, when I first came to Malabar farm and took the farm tour, the tourist guide mentioned this movie and pointed out a hill where she said “the first scene of the movie was filmed in a cabin way up there.” Why not bring us there? So, last couple of weeks, we went back at the farm and took a hike up on the hill to see the cabin and here’s a picture of hubby & Katie at the front of the Pugh Cabin…

Now, you see why I have to see this movie??? And when we watched it, right at the 1st scene, that spot right there was shown!

In the absence of the cuisine that I am used to, only Asian food can give me the satisfaction of my taste buds when I crave for something linked to the taste I grew up with! Well, not quite Filipino but PF Chang’s Asian Bistro works for me! The whole ambiance of the place is quite fascinating with all the textures and rich colors of the arts displayed with intriguing structures that makes you feel you’re in a different country! I would definitely recommend Chang’s Chicken Lettuce Wrap as a starter!
