The Simpsons Movie

One of my favorite cartoon characters are “The Simpsons”! Ever since I started watching them at Fox Channel, I could never get enough and even if I see reruns, it still always entertain me! A doze of reality, punch lines that makes a point and celebrity/tv spoofs - a perfect recipe for comedy! This adult cartoon has come a long way and made a bunch of episodes! So, for the 1s time ever…they finally made a movie and it’s a total hit! We watched it last night and it’s totally hilarious! All the characters have their part and none was left behind. I was worried to watch it with my kids coz sometimes they have foul languages and I don’t want them to pick it up and so I left them at my friend’s place but the thing is, it was actually not bad. Hubby got a good laugh and so did I!

Drove for about 6hrs all the way to Kentucky to see the Mammoth’s Cave! All tired and sleepy when we got there, we stayed at some nearby hotel. The following morning, we started finding some tours available for the day. Had a chance to roam around Mammoth’s Passage for a 45minutes tour then we went to the campground to find a spot! Once the tent was all set up, we went for a hike and found the green river and water spring! At night, they offer a talk at the campfire ground. The following day, we took another tour, this time with all the formations inside the cave that was really amazing!

Vtech Offers 6.0 Digital Phone

Thursday, July 12th, 2007

phone.jpgQuite frankly, when I heard 6.0 digital I really didn’t fully understand what does that mean. Does it have to do with the model? Size? I just found out it just means better reception and its the newest thing they have! I kinda like the slim look of this Vtech and would make a great anniversary gift for my hubby! It’s so slim and light while the touch pad is kinda like my samsung slide phone which is not buttonize, just plain and flat. It’s easy dial and with speakers in every receiver! The black and silver color makes it look so high tech esp. the shape of this phone! Say goodbye to the big and bulky ones now…you can even have a size as small as your cellphone!

National Geographic

logo_ngc.jpgI can’t get enough of National Geographic Channel! They always have something exciting, thrilling & intriguing programs that surely catches my attention! Nowadays, I don’t watch tv that often ever since I started blogging but still, if I got the urge to turn that tv on…I flip it immediately to channel 68 (at Timewarner cable). Sure enough, I couldn’t get my eyes off! Just earlier I watched the Hunter and the Hunted. It’s a show where they tell stories of the humans being hunted by animal predators. You will be drawn to find out and solve the case of which animal attacked and killed the person. Another cool program is Seconds from Disaster where they bring you back in every second before the tragedy strikes! Like an airplane crash and figuring out details by details what went wrong. I know I shouldn’t be watching stuff like that..it could just give me paranoia being in a plane but I just couldn’t resist! You can learn a lot of stuff too with their Naked Science there’s so much more that I could go on and on and talk about…Just wanted to share how this channel has taken some of my time!LoL!

Moving Objects

Thursday, July 5th, 2007

The main reason that I bought my camera is to really capture great shots with all my kids’ adventures and family’s as well. I also would love to have great portraits of myself, my kids and the whole family as well as friends! Nature is another thing that I enjoy most so, they make a good subject too! This time I tried out to take photos with my kids while they are at motion. I like the continuous shot offered by this camera and I could just snap once and would take about 4-5 shots! I added some effect on the photos with Virtual Photographer, ambiance photo action.

My 1st Shot!

Tuesday, July 3rd, 2007

To test my newly arrived Canon DSLR, I spotted our sunflower blooming so brightly at our deck! It’s a great subject for someone like me still learning this camera! I am more eager to use the macro setting where it can take great close ups of any subject! To tell you honestly, it was kind of difficult for me to use the viewfinder since I am so used to the digital cameras with screen on the back! Well, I guess it gives you a better view of what you can really get! I kinda like playing with the lens as well! So, for the 1st shot, here’s one subject I focused!
